"BALCAN EXPRESS" 2. international graffiti festival is a unique artistic project in Bosnia and Herzegovina that will gather around 30 graffiti artists from Europe, USA and the whole region and will take place in Sarajevo 16. – 19. August 2007. The festival is dealing with promoting graffiti art, which is bound to be represented as a legitimate art as it really is. This festival has emerged as a result of an urge for filling out the void in cultural life of the city, urge of young people for modern and urban projects.

The main goal of "BALCAN EXPRESS" project is promotion of graffiti art, but graffiti art is just the base on which Urban culture association "N.E.K.O" intend to build a platform for modern audio-visual arts.

This Project is addressing first and foremost the young people, those who will expand their views by visiting the festival and those who want to engage in this form of art themselves.

Activities planned during the "BALCAN EXPRESS" 2. International graffiti festival are:

- Painting the mural of somewhat more that a hundred square meters, in which a number of artist guests are expected to participate and create a joint art piece with a unique concept. Location: Olympic center Zetra, date:16.-19. August 2007

- Painting canvases – in this phase every artist is expected to create one canvas piece with his unique style, that canvas will represent his approach to graffiti art Location: Olympic center Zetra, date: 18. August 2007

- Graffiti exhibition – is going to take place in one of Sarajevo oldest and most respected galleries "COLLEGIUM ARTISTICUM". Location: "Collegium Artisticum", time and date: 18.August 20.00h

- Graffiti workshop – in this phase young visitors of the festival that are interested in this form of art will have an opportunity to talk to some of the greatest graffiti artists, as well as to attend lectures on practicing graffiti art. Location: Olympic center Zetra, date: 18. August 2007
